What is HijackThis?

HijackThis, created by Merijn, is a malware removal tool and possibly one of the most effective available to remove spyware, adware, and other harmful PC threats. HijackThis is generally geared towards advanced users and should not be used by the novice user without guidance from a professional, such as a forum posting, friend, or the HijackRemote service.
